The images in this series were taken in Norway, the Scottish Highlands and Iceland between 2022-23. The dramatic skies, ever-changing cloud formations, and layers of mist and shadows mirrored the transitional shifts in my life during this time.
“Untethered” continues the exploration of disconnection in “For Dear Life,” but, in this series, I was inspired by the ambiguity that the word “untethered” suggests. Recognizing the tension between the desire for freedom and the need to feel safe, it’s about discovering that I need love to feel free, but I need to be free in order to feel loved.
