In 2023 I was fortunate to attend a photographic workshop in Tuscany.  Prompted to use a literary character as a creative focus, and influenced by fairytale surroundings, I chose Alice.

One of the most significant themes in Alice’s story is the importance of embracing one’s true self. She struggles with the expectations and constraints placed on her by society. As she navigates the strange and unpredictable world of Wonderland, she learns to embrace her own unique qualities.  I felt like Alice had taken me by the hand as we journeyed through my own Tuscan Wonderland, showing me how to let the powerful force of imagination roam free.
